* Lots of features for the money; both engines are reasonably fuel-efficient; three-door styling is unusual and distinctive. Source: Edmunds

The longest Ive kept a car
By mechanic80Â |Â on Thursday, July 06, 2017
Although it was only a few years that I had the Veloster, I had no intention of giving it up until I wrecked it. I cannot think of a single thing I could complain about except the occasional rattles and the right front speaker regularly going bad. But with that warranty, its hard to go wrong. The 6 speed was a gas to drive too.… - 4.0
Good value buy
By Slots | on Friday, February 19, 2021
This was the third car I'd ever owned and easily the most reliable. Two cars I had prior was a GM minivan (hand me down) and a Nissan Sentra (beater). The bucket seats were very comfortable as well as the ride (for what it is). This isn't the softest ride you'll ever feel in a car but that's not what this car was made for. This isn't the fast car I've driven either but again, it's not made for that. I had a very fun time driving this car over the 20k miles I drove it. Never had to change anything but the oil. I used full synthetic and changed it every 3,500 to 5,000 miles and she ran like a clock. The price to value ratio of this car is magnificent.… - 1.0
rod bearing
By dont buy | on Tuesday, December 29, 2020

I did this. at 124K miles lost power and a noise from the the engine. the rod bearing wasn't getting enough oil. had to replace the motor a problem with the 2.0 and 2.4 motors, not the 1.6 (what the Hyundai facture rep told me). the dealership was sold twice and the powertrain warranty was no longer.…
